PRESS: Branson’s Virgin to launch virtual mobile operator in Russia
MOSCOW, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Virgin Connect, a brand used by Trivon Networks, partially owned by Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, will start working in Russia on Monday, business daily Vedomosti reported, citing an employee of Trivon’s partner.
Virgin Connect’s Commercial Director Dmitry Bagdasaryan said the MVNO will work on the network of local mobile operator T2 RTK Holding, known under the Tele2 brand. A Tele2 spokesperson confirmed the information.
The MVNO launch will be a trial one, and work of Virgin Connect will be checked by its employees and a group of loyal subscribers, Bagdasaryan said.
